A Voyage into the Unknown!
Many people believe that there is no where left to explore in the world. This is simply not true, vast areas of land have never been seen by humans; these areas tend to be remote and difficult environments such as jungles and mountains.
The area that we are planning to climb in is just such a place. We can show no picture of the mountain that we hope to climb since none has ever been taken.

Mera Peak
This is a picture of Mera Peak. At 6,476m it is the highest trekking peak in Nepal. It is located next to Chamlang Base Camp where we will be conducting our research. It is not a technically difficult climb but it will prepare us for the length of Himalayan climbs and help us adapt to the high altitude. By climbing up to this height our bodies will be better prepared for the more difficult and unknown climb we will try next.
